The Benefits of our In-Hospital Care
At Lexington Medical Center, we trust and value the opinion of your primary care physician. Our In-Hospital Physician Care Team is not meant to replace your doctor, but to supplement your doctors care. Because your doctor cannot attend to your care 24 hours a day while you are in the hospital, we provide you a team of physicians who can. This will provide you more opportunity to talk to doctors who are familiar with your case. In addition, they will work closely with your primary care physician so that your care is
consistent.
When You Leave the Hospital
The In-Hospital Physician Care Team will be able to answer your questions about your treatment while you are in Lexington Medical Center. When your course of care is completed and you leave the hospital, the physicians will send your doctor a report that will provide him or her all the details of your hospital stay, including medications, consultations, procedures provided in the hospital as well as recommendations for further treatment. If you do not have a regular doctor, we can refer you to one of the doctors who are a part of the Lexington Medical Center system. This way, you can be assured of receiving the proper follow-up care.
