Personal Training

Whether your exercise goal is to improve your heart health, increase muscle tone, lose weight or increase flexibility, personal training at Health Directions can be beneficial to you.

Our certified personal trainers will:

  • Meet with you one-on-one at your convenience to work on specific goals.

  • Guide you through an appropriate and effective exercise program.

  • Include flexibility, balance, strength and cardiovascular training.

  • Use a variety of equipment with each workout including weight machines, free weights, stability balls, medicine balls, agility ladders, foam rollers and kettle bells.

  • Coach, motivate and and hold you accountable!

  • Keep track of your progress with functional & fitness assessments including body composition.

  • Include other disciplines such as Cycle, Yoga, Pilates, Kickboxing, and sports specific as requested.

Health Directions Personal Trainers

  • Hold a degree in the field are/or certified through a reputable national organization
    (NASM, ACE, ACSM, NSCA).

  • Receive ongoing training and education.

  • Use appropriate equipment and techniques to ensure safe and effective exercise programs.

  • Are CPR/AED certified

It is recommended that you also consider:

  • Member Health Screen (FREE) 
  • Personal Wellness Profile (PWP)    $10
    An 4-page assessment tool that will help you identify your areas of improvement for better health.
  • Nutritional Analysis/Body Composition
    You may use one of your sessions to meet with a registered dietitian who will provide a comprehensive report of your dietary intake & help you design an eating plan that will work for you. 
  • Fitness Testing
    You may also use one of your sessions to have an exercise professional test your cardiovascular capacity, muscular strength, test your cardiovascular capacity, muscular strength, muscular endurance, flexibility, & body composition.

Specialty Services - One on One:

  • Yoga and Pilates
    Learn the basics so you can practice on your own at home or join an existing group class at Health Directions.
    Cost:$50 per session
  • Tai Chi
    Learn an ancient Chinese exercise for total self-development. Cost:$50 per session
  • Cycle
    Learn indoor cycling to challenge your cardiovascular fitness. Cost:$50 per session
  • Fitness Testing
    An exercise professional will test your cardiovascular capacity, muscular strength, muscular endurance, flexibility and body composition. Based on your results, an individualized exercise prescription will be developed for you to follow.
    Cost:$50 per person

 

  • Nutritional Analysis / Body Composition

    Analyze your current eating patterns and nutritional status. Discuss your results with a registered dietitian and learn how to make improvements. You will also get a report of your percentage of fat and lean tissue calculated by electrical impedance. Cost: $50 per person
