To receive an invitation to become an Associate Chaplain at LMC, please fill out the information on the
application form and drop it in the mail to us.
At Lexington Medical Center, we recognize that the healing process is greatly enhanced by meeting the spiritual needs of our patients. We also recognize that friends and relatives of patients, as well as LMC employees, often need spiritual support and guidance of their own. LMC's Pastoral Care Department is able to offer this spiritual support to patients, their loved ones and staff members by having the most compassionate and caring Associate Chaplains available. We show respect for persons of all faiths with chaplains from a variety of denominations to ensure that we may help anyone in time of need. The LMC Associate Chaplain program has a long and distinguished history of volunteer professional service. LMC Associate Chaplains serve patients, families and employees by:
- Making initial contact with new patients.
- Following up with visits to listen, comfort, pray and administer sacraments as needed or requested.
- Being available for "crisis" ministry at any time.
We invite you to join in the fellowship of over 70 Associate Chaplains who have responded to the call to service and the commitment to care for God's people in the LMC Health Services District.
