Visitation
- A chaplain is on-site Monday - Friday, 8:00 a.m.
- 4:00 p.m. and on-call at all other times:
- to listen
- to comfort
- to pray
- to administer sacraments (Lord's Supper, baptism, anointing)
- If the patient or family member requests, the chaplain can contact a member of clergy of the
patient's denomination or faith group.
A chaplain visit can be requested by:
- Notifying the patient's nurse
- Calling the LMC Switchboard (2000
from within the hospital or 791-2000 from outside the hospital)
- Calling the Pastoral Care offices directly (791-2901 or 791-2033)
Religious Literature & Items
The following may be obtained from the Pastoral Care offices:
- Bibles (English)
- New Testaments (Spanish)
- Rosaries
- Daily Bread
- Jewish prayer pamphlet
- The Holy Koran
Grief Support Group
A group to support those who have recently lost loved ones is held on the first Thursday each month, 7:00 p.m., in the Granby Room (Next to the Cafeteria on the Ground Floor. Please call the Pastoral Care offices (791-2901) for further information.
Memorial Service
A memorial service for family members and friends to honor loved ones who have died at LMC is held in the Lexington Medical Office Park Auditorium at 2:00 p.m. on the fourth Sunday in January, April, July, and October. Please call the Pastoral Care offices (791-2901) for further information.
Ministry at Community Medical Centers & Occupational Health
An associate chaplain is assigned at each of the following LMC satellite facilities to provide on-call ministry as needed:
