Visiting Hours

For general medical, surgical and obstetrical patients:

In order to assure our patients get the rest that they need, we ask that you limit visiting hours to between the hours of 8:30 a.m. and 8:30 p.m. We can, however, accommodate families who feel they must stay.

Visit Vision

Sometimes all your visitors cannot be permitted to come to your room. In that case, we offer Visit Vision, a television channel that allows you to see and talk with your visitors. By turning your television to channel 2 and instructing your family and friends to utilize the wall telephone in our main lobby, you can see them while you talk with them. Your visitors can dial 3+ your room number to ring the telephone in your room. Visit Vision is only available in the South Patient Tower at this time.

ICU Visitation

TWO VISITORS at a time are welcome in the ICU waiting area and ICU rooms during visiting hours. If the waiting room becomes crowded, there is another comfortable waiting area in the front of the 3rd floor.

6:00 a.m. to 7:00 a.m.
9:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m.
12:00 noon to 2:00 p.m.
4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m.
9:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m.

Rest periods will be requested at all other times unless special arrangements are needed. Please check with the ICU nurses before entering the patient's room. Visit vision is not available in ICU rooms.

Telephone

Your telephone number is 739-3 + your room number. Callers can reach your room directly by calling this number. Phone calls may be received anytime except on the Pediatric Unit. Pediatric patients may be called directly between the hours of 7:00 a.m. and 10:00 p.m.

Smoking

We would like to remind you that Lexington Medical Center is a smoke-free environment. Visitor smoking is allowed in the designated shelters outside the main entrances.
