Billing and Insurance

Your Bill

Paying for medical services can sometimes be complex, particularly when insurance is involved. We will file a claim for our services with your insurance carrier, provided we have complete billing information and benefits are made payable to Lexington Medical Center.

You will be responsible for paying all charges not covered by insurance. This may include deductibles, co-pay amounts, per-stay co-pays, and non-covered charges. You will be asked to pay all identified non-covered charges at the time of services. All other self-pay portions will be due within twenty (20) days of notification.

If you do not have medical insurance or if the hospital bill will present a hardship to you, please contact our Customer Service Department at 791-2300, and we will help you make payment arrangements and/or advise you of eligibility for financial assistance.

You may receive separate bills from various physicians for services related to your treatment. These bills may be from a radiologist, an anesthesiologist, a pathologist, etc.

Please remember that if your insurance has pre-certification, pre-authorization or second opinion requirements, it is your responsibility to obtain them.

If you have any questions about insurance or any other aspect of your bill, please call our Customer Service Department at 791-2300.
