Our Support Groups exist to provide support and practical help for many life issues that we can all face.
A.W.A.K.E. Support Group
Alert Well and Keeping Energetic
Support group for those affected by sleep apnea.

Sharing Hope
Support group for women with recurrent or metastatic breast cancer.

Bariatric Support Group
For those who have had gastric-bypass surgery and their families.

For any cancer patient of LMC. Varied topics, refreshments. Come as you are - hospital gowns welcomed!

For those with Diabetes and their families.

Columbia Help
Support group for individuals dealing with Herpes Simplex Virus (HSV).

Columbia Parkinson Support Group
For Parkinson’s patients, caregivers, family members and others who are working in related fields or have an interest in Parkinson’s disease.
- Where: Lexington Medical Center Auditorium
- When: Third Sunday of every month, (except June) at 3:00 p.m. – 4:00 p.m.

Diabetes Individual Counseling
Individualized counseling with a certified diabetes educator ordered by your doctor for those who have prediabetes, diabetes, type 1 or 2 or gestational diabetes and a family member/support person. Appointments are scheduled once your doctor has ordered this service and you will be contacted by phone.

Diabetes Series Classes
Comprehensive series of 3 classes taught by a certified diabetes educator, a dietitian and an exercise physiologist. See link to brochure for more info. You must first have an individual appointment with the diabetes educator.

Heart to Heart
Heart to Heart is a support group for anyone who wants to take better care of their heart.
On October 4, 2012, the Heart to Heart group will welcome Dr.Amy Epps as the speaker. The group meets from 6-8pm and a Mediterranean dinner will be served. Typically this group expects 60-80 people in attendance.

- When: First Thursday of the month (October, November, December, February, March and April) from 6:00-8:00 p.m.
- Cost: $8.00 per person (Dinner is served.)
Living With Change
A support group for family of people who have a life-threatening illness.

Memorial Services
A service for the families of patients at LMC.
- Where: LMP Auditorium
- When: Each quarter. (Jan, April, July, October) at 2:30 p.m. – 3:30 p.m.

For parents who have experienced a miscarriage, stillbirth or early newborn death.

Sexual Trauma Services (STSM)
STSM is a private, non-profit, United Way member agency. STSM serves as a clinical, educational and outreach center for sexual abuse and trauma issues. We have a team of committed professionals and volunteers dedicated to the health and healing of the total victim through prevention, treatment, and advocacy. Services provided by the agency are free and confidential.

Type 2 Diabetes Support Group
For those with Type 2 Diabetes and a family/support person.

US TOO
For all men who have been diagnosed with, treated for, or are concerned about prostate cancer. Wives are invited.
