Bio

A graduate of the University of South Carolina in Columbia with a bachelor’s degree in biology, Dr. Rashid earned his medical degree from St. Matthew’s University School of Medicine in West Bay, Grand Cayman. He then completed his internal medicine residency at New York-Presbyterian Brooklyn Methodist Hospital in Brooklyn, New York.

Dr. Rashid is board certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine and is a member of the American College of Physicians, the Society of Hospital Medicine and the South Carolina Hospital Association. He also has additional certifications in advanced cardiac and basic life support, as well as ultrasound-guided procedures. He previously served as an associate professor at Lake Cumberland Regional Hospital in Somerset, Kentucky, and as a hospitalist at King’s Daughters Medical Center in Ashland, Kentucky.
