A magna cum laude graduate of the University of South Carolina Honors College, Allyson W. Speaks, MD, earned her medical degree from Emory University School of Medicine in Atlanta, Georgia. She then completed an anesthesiology residency at Emory University Hospital that encompassed training at multiple clinical sites including Emory University, an academic hospital and leading liver transplant center; Grady Health’s Marcus Trauma Center, Atlanta’s public level I trauma hospital; Emory Orthopaedic and Spine Center; and Egleston Hospital Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta.
Dr. Speaks is board certified by the American Board of Anesthesiology and is a member of the American Medical Association and the American Society of Anesthesiologists. She most recently cared for patients at Northside Anesthesiology Consultants in Atlanta, Georgia, providing general anesthesia services, including vascular, thoracic, labor and delivery, and regional techniques, at three hospitals and multiple surgery centers.
Dr. Speaks proudly joins the Lexington Medical Center Network of Care at Lexington Medical Anesthesiology to provide comprehensive anesthesia services at Lexington Medical Center, Lexington Medical Center Irmo and Lexington Medical Center Lexington.
