Bio

After graduating with his bachelor’s degree from the United States Naval Academy in Annapolis, Maryland, Dr. Boose earned his medical degree from Uniformed Services University of the Health Sciences in Bethesda, Maryland. He then completed his residency in occupational and environmental medicine at USUHS, serving as chief resident. He also earned a master’s degree in public health there.

Dr. Boose is board certified by the American Board of Preventive Medicine with additional certifications as a Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration medical examiner and a medical review officer. He most recently served as attending physician for Occupational Medicine and department head for Military Readiness at the Naval Health Clinic in Annapolis. In this role, he oversaw five medical providers at four clinics across three states and served as public health emergency officer, providing public health guidance and organizing COVID-19 testing and vaccination for the U.S. Naval Academy and U.S. Navy installations in Annapolis, Philadelphia and Mechanicsburg, Pennsylvania, and Earle, New Jersey. Dr. Boose also received several military honors for his service, including the Meritorious Service Medal, the Joint Service Commendation Medal, the Navy Commendation Medal and the Navy Achievement Medal.
