Programs for Better Health
Cardiac and Vascular Rehabilitation is designed to help individuals with conditions such as heart disease, vascular disease, renal disease and diabetes, including those who have had heart attacks, open-heart surgery, stable angina, vascular disease or other problems.
Education and Exercise
Among the many treatments for heart-related diseases, we emphasize the importance of education and exercise in order to live a longer and healthier life.
The Exercise Program
Outpatient classes usually start two to four weeks after your discharge. Before starting, you will be evaluated to create a plan to meet your specific goals. During orientation, you will receive a personal exercise program which designates the time, intensity and frequency of exercise.
Exercise classes are scheduled several times a week. You will be evaluated routinely and your exercise routine will gradually advance as your activity tolerance improves.
Available exercise equipment
- Stationary bikes
- Treadmills
- Rowing machines
- Recumbent steppers
- Resistance weight training
Educational Classes
Education is as important as exercise. Our Cardiac and Vascular Rehabilitation program offers classes that address the disease process, nutrition, exercise, stress management, smoking cessation and medications.

The cost of participating in Cardiac and Vascular Rehabilitation is reimbursed by most insurance companies. The amount of reimbursement will vary from policy to policy.
