Pathology, the study and diagnosis of disease through examination of organs, tissues, bodily fluids and whole bodies (autopsies), is divided into two medical branches:
Lab Tests on-Demand
Lab Tests on demand provide a range of screenings and tests to encourage patients to seek answers and solutions to their health-related questions.
Fast Diagnosis
Pathology Associates of Lexington, P.A., aided by the non-physician leadership team, our Department of Pathology and Laboratory Medicine offers a full range of services which provide fast, accurate information for diagnosis and treatment decisions 24 hours per day, 7 days per week.
Lab Supports Other LMC Facilities
The main lab also supports the testing from all LMC-owned ambulatory care sites, physician offices, occupational health service, LMC Respiratory Therapy and some of the Midlands’ independent physician offices.
Certification, Accreditation and Compliance
This highly specialized department is led by eight pathologists, each of whom is board certified in anatomic and clinical pathology, using the latest technology and state-of-the-art equipment.
Our lab has also been continuously accredited since 1978. We maintain full compliance with 6 agencies (JCAHO, AABB, FDA, OSHA, CLIA, DHEC).
