O-arm Surgical Imaging System
At Lexington Medical Center, we want to give our surgeons every possible advantage to ensure successful patient outcomes. That’s why we now offer the O-arm® Surgical Imaging System.
Lexington Medical Center is the only hospital in the Midlands with this next generation technology that captures 3-D, high-definition images during back or spine surgery.
In this video, Dr. Scott Boyd, a Neurosurgeon affiliated with Lexington Medical Center, talks about the surgical benefits of using the O-arm.
Precision is everything in surgery. And the new O-arm technology at Lexington Medical Center offers clear, real-time images that allow your surgeon to make the best decisions during surgery, resulting in fewer incisions and a shorter recovery time. Using O-arm technology, your surgeon is able to see exactly what’s going on during your procedure and navigate through delicate anatomy more accurately.
Is the O-arm better for patients?
About the O-arm Surgical Imaging System:
The O-arm Surgical Imaging System is a multi-dimensional surgical imaging platform that is optimized for use in spine, orthopaedic and trauma-related surgeries. It provides real-time, intra-operative imaging of a patient's anatomy with high quality images and a large field-of-view in both two and three dimensions.
By integrating O-arm surgical imaging technology with Medtronic's StealthStation® surgical navigation systems, surgeons are able to perform less invasive procedures and confirm the precision of advanced surgical procedures before the patient leaves the OR.
