Lexington Medical Center provides comprehensive care to help you regain your independence, whether you are an inpatient or outpatient. If you have been diagnosed with an illness or injury that affects your mobility and daily functioning, you will benefit from participation in rehabilitation.

Individualized Programs

The staff of Lexington Medical Center Rehabilitation department works together as a team alongside your physician to develop the best course of treatment to regain as much mobility and independence as is possible. Each patient is evaluated and an individual program developed to achieve maximum recovery.

Physical Therapy

Lexington Medical Center’s Physical Therapy program provides treatments such as exercise, ultrasound and whirlpool to alleviate pain and restore function for patients with a variety of medical conditions. These services are available at all three locations.

Occupational Therapy

Lexington Medical Center’s Occupational Therapy program uses treatments, such as hand splint fabrication, exercise and training for daily activities, to improve function after injury or disease, recommending adaptive equipment as needed. These services are offered at all three locations. Includes therapies for:

• Work Injury

Speech Therapy

The speech therapy program helps improve speech clarity, comprehension and safety with swallowing after a neurological disorder, such as a stroke. Therapists evaluate each patient to determine the proper range of therapies and work closely with the patient’s family to help them understand the process. The speech therapy program is available at Lexington Medical Center’s main campus.
