| Lexington Medical Center has continued to expand and grow in our Oncology programs. Over the last year or so, we have seen the hiring of a new coordinator of Oncology Services, Deirdre Young, who has helped to promote our programs, both in the hospital and outside. We continue to grow in terms of number of patients and physicians and other health care professionals in treating cancer.
Our technology for the treatment of cancer continues to be state-of-the-art and beyond for the care of our patients who have malignant diseases. Educational conferences continue to be well attended including our weekly breast conference and our bi-weekly Cancer Board. These educational conferences are open to all health care professionals and these sessions help in deciding on what would be the best treatment for a particular patient. Multiple medical disciplines such as medical oncology, radiation oncology, radiology, pathology, and surgical subspecialties are present at these meetings and lend valuable support and recommendations so that we can better treat our patients.
We will continue to lead in innovative cancer care, but also never forgetting that the personal touch is one of the best things we do at Lexington. We hope to continue to develop an analytical database and to add other programs and a community outreach program. We look forward to continued growth and, as always, we appreciate the excellent support staff that we have at Lexington Medical Center.
Sincerely,
G. Tripp Jones, M.D.
