LMC Wins Consumer Choice Award for Tenth Year in a Row

Posted by: Jennifer Wilson, Public Relations Manager | November 15, 2011

West Columbia, S.C. – For an impressive tenth year in a row, Lexington Medical Center has won the prestigious Consumer Choice Award from the National Research Corporation (NRC).  That means the people of the Midlands have selected Lexington Medical Center as the hospital with the highest quality of service in our community, based on the NRC’s ratings system.

Each year, the National Research Corporation honors the hospitals across the United States which consumers rate as having the best quality and image, based on a custom research survey of more than 250,000 households in 300 cities across the country.   Questions are designed based on the input of hospital leaders nationwide.

“I’m proud of the efforts of our physicians, staff and volunteers that have resulted in high quality care and our receiving this prestigious award,” said Mike Biediger, President and CEO of Lexington Medical Center.

The Consumer Choice Award indicates that Lexington Medical Center has achieved a level of service that is valued by the people of the Midlands and provides patients with valuable information to use when selecting health care providers.

“The Consumer Choice Award recognizes facilities that are meeting or exceeding the needs of consumers – their patients,” said Susan Henricks, president and chief operating officer at the NRC.
