West Columbia, S.C. – Lexington Medical Center’s Marketing department has earned thirty-two awards in two national competitions honoring the best health care advertising and public relations campaigns in the country.

In the 29th annual Healthcare Advertising Awards, Lexington Medical Center received nineteen awards.  Sponsored by the national publication Healthcare Marketing Report, the contest recognizes excellence in health care marketing and advertising.  It’s known as the oldest, largest, and most widely respected health care advertising competition.  This year’s contest received 4,000 entries, judged by a national panel of judges.  Awards went to entries that exemplify exceptional quality, creativity and message effectiveness.

Importantly, Lexington Medical Center won a Best in Show award in the Healthcare Advertising Awards for Total Public Relations Program for the Pink Glove Dance Public Relations campaign.  Only 16 Best in Show Awards were given, awarded to a select number of entries for outstanding creativity.

Lexington Medical Center received Gold Healthcare Advertising Awards for its Pink Glove Dance Video, Pink Glove Dance Public Relations Campaign, a professional recruitment project and a calendar.  It received a Silver Healthcare Advertising Award for its National Champion Pink Glove T-shirt.  It received Bronze Healthcare Advertising Awards for its LMC 40th Anniversary Event, physician recruitment materials, Health Directions Wellness Campaign and Cancer Annual Report.  The hospital received merit awards for several television commercials, physician practice logos, professional recruitment materials, magazine ads, an employee giving campaign and newsletters.

In addition, Lexington Medical Center has received top honors in the Aster Awards, sponsored by Marketing Healthcare Today magazine.  The competition recognizes the nation’s most talented health care marketing professionals for outstanding excellence in advertising.

The hospital received Gold Aster Awards for physician practice posters, its 2011 calendar, Health Directions Wellness Campaign, professional recruitment materials, employee giving campaign and an internal publication.  It received Silver Aster Awards for physician practice print advertising and brochures.  And, Lexington Medical Center received Bronze Aster Awards for physician communication posters, LMC Governor’s Cup materials, the Pink Glove Dance Video and Pink Glove Dance Public Relations Campaign.
