We want to make sure you receive the absolute best doctor care available. We trust and value the opinion of your primary care physician, supporting their advice and directives with an expert team of physicians who are available at all times, seven days a week.

Supplementing Your Doctor’s Care

Because your doctor cannot attend to your care 24 hours a day while you are in the hospital, we provide a team of physicians who can. Our In-hospital Physicians supplement your doctor’s care, providing you with more opportunity to talk to doctors who are familiar with your case, who work closely with your primary care physician so that your care is consistent and comprehensive.

These doctors work in close consultation with your primary care physician, providing prompt, high-quality care throughout your stay. This ensures that you receive the focused attention and level of care that helps you get the most from your treatment.

From the moment you arrive…

The In-hospital Physician Care Team will follow your course of care from the time you are admitted into the hospital until you are discharged, able to answer your questions about your treatment while you are in Lexington Medical Center. When your course of care is completed and you leave the hospital, the physicians will send your doctor a report that provides him or her with all the details of your hospital stay, including medications, consultations, procedures provided in the hospital as well as recommendations for further treatment.

If you do not have a regular doctor, we can refer you to one of the doctors who are a part of the Lexington Medical Center system so you can be assured of receiving proper follow-up care.
