A Source of Strength

Your religious faith can be a source of strength during times of need. At Lexington Medical Center, we recognize that the healing process is greatly enhanced by meeting the spiritual needs of our patients. We also recognize that friends and relatives of patients, as well as LMC employees, often need spiritual support and encouragement.

Respect for All Faiths and Beliefs

Our chaplains respect and accommodate persons of all faiths and beliefs. At your request, a chaplain is available to visit you, to notify your spiritual leader or place of worship that you are a patient, or arrange a visit if you wish the services of a minister, priest, rabbi, imam or leader of your particular religious group. The sacraments or rites of your faith group are also available upon request, as are clergy fluent in Spanish and Korean.

Catholic Eucharistic Ministers

Catholic Eucharistic ministers from area churches come to LMC several times a week to distribute Holy Communion to Catholic patients.

Prayer Requests

A book is provided for written prayer requests. Chaplains will respond to these requests by praying in the chapel or by visiting in the room with the patient and/or family. PrayerNotes, donated by the LMC Auxiliary, and Daily Bread are available for you to take with you.

Prayer Chapel

A Prayer Chapel, located on the first floor at the south end of the East hallway adjacent to the South/Hwy. 378 lobby, is open 24 hours a day for patients and visitors to pray and meditate.
