DOULA
Doula is a Greek word for "women helping women." Doulas are Lexington Medical Center employees who are trained to give you the emotional and physical support you need from the moment you arrive at your birthing suite. Any path is easier to follow with an experienced guide. And your Doula stays with you throughout your entire birth experience. She works with you, your family, your doctor or midwife, and your nurse. Indicate if you would like Doula assistance on your pre-admission form.
