A graduate of Washington and Lee University in Lexington, Virginia, Scott B. Boyd, MD, FAANS, earned his medical degree from the Medical University of South Carolina in Charleston. He went on to complete a general and neurosurgical residency at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. Specializing in neurosurgery, Dr. Boyd also has additional training from the National Hospital at Queen Square, London.
Dr. Boyd is a member of The Congress of Neurological Surgeons, board certified by the American Board of Neurological Surgery and has earned the Best Doctors® designation. He is also a fellow with the American Association of Neurological Surgeons, and belongs to the South Carolina Association of Neurological Surgeons, the Lexington Medical Society and the Columbia Medical Society. Prior to joining the Lexington Medical Center Network of Care, he worked in private practice.
