Guidelines

Visitors for Patients Currently Restricted

We have implemented a restricted visiting policy for all facilities while our staff is hard at work ensuring the safety of our patients, caregivers and the community.

  • No visitors for patients with COVID-19
  • No visitors for patients suspected of or testing positive for COVID-19
  • All visitors must be age 5 and older, except in the Intensive Care Unit, Special Care Nursery and Labor and Delivery. See department for guidance.

Visiting Medical/Surgical Patients

Anytime, day or night.

  • No need to sign in when visiting during normal visitation hours.
  • Visitors planning to stay with patients should first speak with nursing staff.
  • We are a smoke-free facility.
  • No minors under the age of 16.
  • Animals (other than service animals) are not permitted.

Visiting the ICU

Anytime Except 7 a.m. - 9 a.m. & 7 p.m. - 9 p.m.

  • Two visitors at a time are welcome in the ICU waiting area and ICU rooms during visiting hours.
  • Patient’s health may necessitate periods of rest at any time.
  • Please check in with ICU nurses before entering any patient’s room.
  • Visit Vision is not available in ICU rooms.
  • No minors under the age of 16 allowed in the ICU.

Visiting the Birth Center

Two support persons are permitted while the patient is in labor or has just delivered a child. One support person is allowed for C-sections. Support persons may not change. Please use the Main Entrance of the hospital. Visitors to the Mother/Baby unit are allowed during the hours of 7:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m., seven days per week.

Some procedures will require all visitors to leave the room. A waiting room with a telephone, restroom, television, magazines and coffee is available to waiting visitors.

For the safety and privacy of others, please keep these guidelines in mind:

  • No minors under the age of 16.
  • Visitors cannot wait in any Birth Center hallway for extended periods of time.
  • Phone calls are not placed to patients during labor and delivery to respect the expectant mother’s privacy during a very personal process.
