Finding cancer early isn’t just your fight. It’s our fight, too.

At Lexington Medical Cancer Center, we treat cancer successfully every day. But we’d rather find it early so there’s a better chance for a cure.

Early Detection is the Best Treatment.

Last year, Mary Kathryn Burbank of Elgin learned she had breast cancer through a routine 3D mammogram, despite having no symptoms or family history.

Early detection meant she was treated quickly at Lexington Medical Cancer Center, proving you don’t need a reason to have a routine screening.

Did you know?

Last year, Patricia Morgenstern of Chester learned she had lung cancer through Lexington Medical Cancer Center’s lung screening program.

Because she got screened, her cancer was discovered and treated before it could spread, proving that early detection is always the best treatment.

Tackling Breast Cancer

With an aunt who had breast cancer, Libby did everything she could to reduce her risk of developing the disease.

Libby began mammograms in her late 30s. “I figured, ‘Let’s go ahead and start; it’s never too early.’”

It was a decision that may have saved her life.

A Success Story.

Steve Melton has smoked cigarettes since he was 12 years old — as many as two packs a day.

At the urging of his primary care physician, Steve underwent a lung cancer screening last fall. The test revealed a stage 1 cancerous tumor in his lung about the size of a grape.
