Bio

Amy Rawl Epps, MD, FACC, is a native of Lexington, South Carolina. She received a bachelor’s degree in biology and neuroscience from Duke University in Durham, North Carolina, and earned her medical degree at the Medical University of South Carolina in Charleston. Dr. Epps served as chief resident at MUSC, where she also completed an adult cardiology fellowship. While at MUSC, she researched gender differences in patients with ST elevation during myocardial stress perfusion imaging, as well as echocardiographic patterns in post-ETOH septal ablations in hypertrophic obstructive cardiomyopathy patients.

Dr. Epps has specific interests in invasive non-interventional cardiology, preventive heart disease, women’s heart disease and pacemakers and defibrillators. Board certified in cardiovascular disease, she is a member of the American College of Cardiology, the South Carolina Medical Association, the American Medical Association and the Lexington Medical Association.
