Bio

Francisco J. Albert, DO, FACP, FHM, graduated with honors from Loyola University in Chicago, Illinois, with a bachelor’s degree in Spanish literature and pre-medical studies. He then earned his medical degree from the Chicago College of Osteopathic Medicine in Downers Grove, Illinois, and completed his internal medicine residency at Tripler Army Medical Center in Honolulu, Hawaii.
 
Board certified in hospital medicine by the American Board of Internal Medicine, Dr. Albert is a Fellow of the American College of Physicians and the Society of Hospital Medicine and is a member of the American College of Lifestyle Medicine. He has also completed additional training in tropical medicine at the London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine in London, England, and at the Universidad Peruana Cayetano Heredia in Lima, Peru.
 
Dr. Albert served as chief of the Internal Medicine Clinic at Moncrief Army Community Hospital in Columbia, South Carolina, prior to joining the Lexington Medical Center Network of Care at Medical Center Hospitalists. In addition to his clinical practice, he is an assistant professor of Clinical Medicine at the University of South Carolina School of Medicine in Columbia and at the Edward Via College of Osteopathic Medicine in Spartanburg, South Carolina.
