Dr. Woody graduated with a bachelor’s degree in Chemistry from North Georgia College in Dahlonega and earned his medical degree from Medical College of Georgia in Augusta. He then completed his internship and Otolaryngology residency at Fitzsimons Army Medical Center in Aurora, CO. During this time, he also served in the United States Army Medical Corps and received the United States Army Medical Corps Meritorious Service Medal with Oak Leaf Cluster for dedicated service.

Prior to joining the Lexington Medical Center Network of Care at Lexington ENT & Allergy, Dr. Woody worked in private practice in the midlands, providing otolaryngology as well as head and neck surgery services. He has also worked as staff otolaryngologist at Moncrief Army Community Hospital, where he served as chief of ENT, and Madigan Army Medical Center in Tacoma, WA. Dr. Woody brings more than 30 years of experience to Lexington ENT & Allergy, which specializes in the diagnosis and treatment of ear, nose, throat, and head and neck disorders.

Dr. Woody has many credentials. He has been appointed clinical associate professor in the Department of Surgery at the University of South Carolina. His awards include the Meritorious Service Medal from the United States Army Medical Corps and the United States Army Medical Corps, Oak Leaf Cluster. He is certified by the American Board of Otolaryngology, and is a member of the American Medical Association, the Columbia Medical Society and the South Carolina Medical Association.
