Bio

Frank J. Ferraro, MD, graduated cum laude with a bachelor’s degree in food and nutrition from City University of New York, Queens College in Flushing and received a master’s degree in clinical nutrition at City University of New York, Hunter College in New York City. After earning his medical degree from State University of New York, Health Science Center at Brooklyn, Dr. Ferraro completed an internal medicine internship at Dwight David Eisenhower Army Medical Center in Augusta, Georgia and an internal medicine residency at William Beaumont Army Medical Center in El Paso, Texas. He went on to complete an endocrinology fellowship and serve as chief fellow at the Medical University of South Carolina in Charleston.

Dr. Ferraro most recently worked in private practice in Greenville, South Carolina to provide consultations for general endocrinology and diabetes management, including provocative endocrine testing, thyroid ultrasonography and fine needle aspiration biopsy. He also received an appointment as an assistant professor of Clinical Internal Medicine at the University of South Carolina School of Medicine in Columbia.
