Bio

Perrie Ryan, MD, is a graduate of Trinity College in Hartford, Connecticut with a bachelor's degree in chemistry. He earned his medical degree from the University of Connecticut School of Medicine in Farmington and completed his internal medicine internship at Robert Wood Johnson Medical School in New Brunswick, New Jersey. Dr. Ryan went on to complete his internal medicine residency and hematology/ oncology fellowship at Baystate Medical Center in Springfield, Massachusetts.

Board certified medical oncology and hematology, Dr. Ryan is a member of the American Society of Clinical Oncology, the American Society of Hematology and the American Medical Association. He most recently served as a hematologist/oncologist at Wellmont Blue Ridge Medical Specialists in Kingsport, Tennessee and as a consultant at Bristol Regional Medical Center in Bristol, Tennessee.

In addition to his work in the clinical setting, Dr. Ryan has conducted several research studies, including evaluating the effectiveness of second and third line treatment for locally advanced/metastatic non-small cell lung cancer and assessing the impact on survival of emergency department presentation of patients ultimately diagnosed with non-small cell lung cancer at a single institution. He has also been recognized as a top hematologist/oncologist by Leading Physicians of the World, the largest internationally exclusive medical organization.
