Bio

Philip Keith, MD, graduated summa cum laude from Limestone College in Gaffney, South Carolina, and earned his medical degree from the University of South Carolina School of Medicine in Columbia. He completed his internal medicine residency at Palmetto Health Richland in Columbia, South Carolina, serving as chief resident. He then completed a critical-care medicine fellowship at Wake Forest University Baptist Medical Center in Winston-Salem, North Carolina.

Dr. Keith has experience providing a broad range of health care services, including the management of complex conditions and treatment of critically ill patients. He is board certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine in internal medical and critical-care medicine and is a member of the American Medical Association, the American Society of Apheresis, the Extracorporeal Life Support Organization and the Society of Critical Care Medicine.

Prior to joining the Lexington Medical Center Network of Care, Dr. Keith served as an intensivist at Salem Chest Specialists at Forsyth Medical Center in Winston-Salem, North Carolina, providing comprehensive care to critically ill patients. He joins the team of board-certified physicians at Medical Center Hospitalists to provide comprehensive inpatient care at Lexington Medical Center. These specially trained physicians reflect the hospital’s commitment to offering advanced medicine and compassionate care to patients while they are in the hospital.
