Bio

Dr. Kerr graduated summa cum laude from North Carolina State University in Raleigh and earned his medical degree from the Lewis Katz School of Medicine at Temple University in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. He then completed his internal medicine residency at Rutgers University in Newark, New Jersey.

A member of the American College of Physicians, Dr. Kerr is certified in advanced cardiovascular life support and basic life support. He most recently completed his residency, gaining extensive experience in a variety of patient care settings, creating diagnostic and therapeutic plans and managing patients from admission through discharge. He also served on the Patient Safety Committee at Rutgers University, which monitored patient safety events and sought solutions to prevent recurrence of similar occurrences.

Dr. Kerr proudly joins the highly skilled physicians and staff at Lexington Hospitalists to provide comprehensive inpatient care at Lexington Medical Center. These specially trained physicians reflect the hospital’s commitment to offering advanced medicine and compassionate care to patients while they are in the hospital.
