Dr. Dawley graduated with a bachelor’s degree in chemistry from The University of Texas at Tyler and earned his medical degree from The University of North Texas Health Science Center, Texas College of Osteopathic Medicine in Fort Worth. He then completed a neurosurgical oncology fellowship at NorthShore University Hospital in Lake Success, New York, while completing his neurological surgery residency at Michigan State University College of Human Medicine/Ascension Providence Hospitals in Southfield. During this time, he co-authored and co-presented more than 35 research studies and publications.
A fellow of the Congress of Neurological Surgeons, Dr. Dawley is a member of the American Board of Neurological Surgeons, the North American Spine Society, the American Association of Neurological Surgeons and the American Osteopathic Association. He recently cared for patients at Carolina Neurosurgery and Spine Associates in Greensboro, North Carolina, specializing in deformity and minimally invasive spine surgery. He also co-founded the Neuroscience Foundation for Africa, which aims to advance neuroscience and international health care awareness in East Africa.
