Dr. Baral earned a bachelor’s degree in cellular and molecular biology from Augusta University in Augusta, Georgia, and completed her medical degree at the Medical College of Georgia in Augusta. She then completed her general psychiatry residency at the Medical College of Georgia, gaining experience in the treatment of various mental health disorders, including psychotic disorders, mood disorders, personality disorders, post-traumatic stress disorders and gender dysphoria, among other conditions.
During her residency, Dr. Baral also served as chair of Didactics for the Psychiatry department, scheduling and coordinating speakers, assisting with grand rounds and facilitating resident-led discussions for weekly resident didactics, as well as volunteered at the free mental health clinic at the Medical College of Georgia. She has experience caring for patients of all ages in outpatient, inpatient and emergency settings.
