Bio

Dr. Westbrook graduated cum laude from Clemson University in Clemson, South Carolina, with a bachelor’s degree in biological sciences and earned his medical degree from the Medical University of South Carolina in Charleston. He then completed his urology residency at NYU Langone Hospital – Long Island in Mineola, New York, serving as chief resident. He went on to complete a genitourinary reconstructive surgery fellowship at Loyola University Medical Center in Maywood, Illinois.

During his genitourinary reconstructive surgery fellowship, Dr. Westbrook received comprehensive training in the evaluation and management of all aspects of urologic reconstruction, including anterior and posterior urethral reconstruction, urinary incontinence, erectile dysfunction, buried penis, uretero-pelvic junction obstruction and ureteral strictures. He also has extensive experience in minimally invasive and robotic surgery with special interest in robotic abdominal urologic reconstruction.

A member of the American Urological Association, the Society of Genitourinary Reconstructive Surgeons and the Society of Prosthetic Surgeons, Dr. Westbrook has co-authored and presented more than 20 peer-reviewed journal articles, podium and poster presentations, abstracts and grand round presentations. During training, he co-founded the NYU Langone – Long Island male infertility resident course and assisted in the development of the urology residency curriculum. For his commitment to teaching, he was awarded the NYU Langone Hospital – Long Island Resident Teaching Award.
