West Columbia, S.C. – Lexington Medical Center is pleased to announce that it has won 36 awards in the 32nd annual Healthcare Advertising Awards, a national health care marketing and advertising awards competition that judges entries on quality, creativity and message effectiveness. The contest is the oldest, largest and most widely respected healthcare advertising awards competition in the nation. The hospital received the highest number of awards of any hospital across the country, including a “Best In Show” honor.
In a field of more than 3,500 entries, Lexington Medical Center received a “Best In Show” designation for its series of heart attack commercials called “I Am A Heart Attack.” The commercials personify a heart attack and educate viewers about recognizing symptoms and receiving timely treatment. The “Best In Show” awards go to a select number of entries in the competition that showcase outstanding creativity. The hospital also earned Healthcare Advertising Awards for entries including its mobile website, heart center patient handbook, “Take 5 for Heart Health” campaign, website, flu vaccine campaign, TAVR brochure and several print advertisements. In all, there were nine Gold awards, eight Silver, three Bronze and 15 Merit awards, plus the “Best In Show.”
