West Columbia, S.C. – What’s the connection between heart disease and stroke? Find out at a special physician lecture at Lexington Medical Center on Thursday, February 2, 2017 at 5:00 p.m. And while you’re there, undergo important health screenings and enjoy a heart-healthy dinner. The whole event is FREE. Space is limited and reservations are necessary.
The speakers will be board-certified physicians Brandon Drafts, MD, of Lexington Cardiology and Jessica Floyd, MD, of Southeastern Neurology & Memory Clinic, both Lexington Medical Center physician practices.
“Both heart disease and stroke account for significant mortality and disability in our state,” said Dr. Drafts. “Understanding the link between the two can help us provide the best care for our patients.”
The health screenings will include blood pressure, glucose, heart rhythm, heart rate, oxygen saturation and a heart attack risk quiz.
This special event is in honor of the 25th anniversary of Heart to Heart, Lexington Medical Center’s support and wellness group for people with heart disease and their families.
It will be on Thursday, February 2, 2017 from 5:00 – 8:00 p.m. inside the Michael J. Biediger Auditorium inside Lexington Medical Park 1 on the hospital campus in West Columbia. With space limited, please RSVP by January 26 to (803) 935 – 8260.
