West Columbia, S.C. – Lexington Medical Center is happy to announce the addition of Amina Majeed, MD, to Mid Carolina Internal Medicine, part of the hospital’s network of care.
Dr. Majeed graduated with her medical degree from Aga Khan University in Karachi, Pakistan, and earned her medical degree from MedStar Washington Hospital Center in Washington, DC. She is board certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine and is a member of the American College of Physicians. Fluent in English and Urdo, the national language of Pakistan.
Dr. Majeed most recently provided inpatient and outpatient care and supervised internal medicine residents and medical students at MedStar Washington Hospital Center, training 15 to 20 residents and 10 medical students per year. In addition to her clinical practice and teaching activities, she formed a collaboration with the hospital’s Bariatric and General Surgery Program.
Dr. Majeed joins the board-certified physicians and advanced practice providers at Mid Carolina Internal Medicine to provide comprehensive care to prevent, diagnose and treat adult illnesses and diseases. In addition to sick and follow-up visits, the practice offers diabetic testing, Coumadin® monitoring and in-house laboratory services.
