West Columbia, S.C. – Lexington Medical Center is pleased to welcome Monique E. McKiever, MD, FACOG, to the hospital’s network of care. Dr. McKiever joins the board-certified physicians and advanced practice provider at Lexington Maternal Fetal Medicine to care for women in the Midlands with low-risk and high-risk pregnancies. Working with primary care obstetricians, these providers specialize in managing the medical complications of pregnancy, such as diabetes, hypertension, pre-eclampsia, placenta previa and preterm labor.
Dr. McKiever graduated summa cum laude from Clemson University in Clemson, South Carolina, with a bachelor’s degree in biological sciences and earned her medical degree from Vanderbilt University School of Medicine in Nashville, Tennessee. After completing her obstetrics and gynecology residency at the University of Texas Southwestern Parkland Hospital in Dallas, she completed a maternal fetal medicine fellowship at The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center in Columbus.
An American Congress of Obstetricians and Gynecologists Fellow, Dr. McKiever is a member of the American Institute of Ultrasound in Medicine, the International Society of Ultrasound in Obstetrics and Gynecology and the Society for Maternal Fetal Medicine. She most recently completed her maternal fetal medicine fellowship training, providing outpatient and inpatient care for women with complicated or high-risk pregnancies, as well as patients referred by other obstetrical providers for ongoing prenatal care or pre-conception counseling, and prenatal imaging and diagnostic testing.
