2022 Mission: Lifeline® STEMI Receiving Gold Plus Award

American Heart Association

Lexington Medical Center’s participation in Mission: Lifeline® demonstrated its commitment to quality care. Receiving hospitals earn Gold Plus recognition for achieving a composite score of 85% or higher. The Mission: Lifeline STEMI Receiving Center quality achievement composite score requires a compliance of ≥85% for arrival to ECG within 10 minutes and ≥75% in all other indicators within a consecutive 24-month interval to improve the quality of care for STEMI patients.

2022 Gold Plus Target: Stroke Elite Plus Honor Roll

American Heart Association

The American Heart Association/American Stroke Association recognize Lexington Medical Center for achieving 85% or higher compliance with all Get With The Guidelines® Stroke Achievement Measures and 75% or higher compliance with five or more Get With The Guidelines® Stroke Quality Measures for two or more consecutive years. Thrombolytic therapy was achieved within 60 minutes in >85% of applicable acute ischemic stroke patients to improve quality of patient care and outcomes.

2022 Target: Type 2 Diabetes - Stroke Honor Roll

American Heart Association

The American Heart Association/American Stroke Association recognize Lexington Medical Center for achieving 90% or higher compliance for 12 consecutive months with the Get With The Guidelines® Target: Type 2 Diabetes - Stroke “Overall Diabetes Cardiovascular Initiative Composite Score” component measures, specific to the quality care for patients with type 2 diabetes.

2022 Gold Plus Achievement Award for Heart Failure

American Heart Association

The American Heart Association recognized Lexington Medical Center in 2022 with the Gold Plus Get With The Guidelines® for Heart Failure award for achieving 85% or higher in all four of the achievement measures and for achieving 75% or higher in at least four of 10 quality measures for at least 24 months.

Own the Bone: Star Performer

Own the Bone enrolled hospitals and practices that achieve a 75% compliance rate with at least 5 of the 10 Own the Bone prevention measures, based on patients screened and entered into the registry during the preceding 12 month period, receive a special recognition as “Own the Bone Star Performers” in the annual recognition ad in U.S. News & World Report “Best Hospitals” Guide. Lexington Medical Center is proud to be an Aetna Institute of Quality for Bariatric Surgery. This distinction shows how the hospital meets (and surpasses) criteria for experience, standards of care, follow-up support, efficiency and accreditation. In addition, it means that Lexington Medical Center has a quality improvement program that includes data sharing, that at least 75% of surgical cases are followed up for 12 months after surgery, and that the hospital possesses an organized aftercare program for at least 12 months.
