In addition to the rotations listed below, each resident will participate in a Longitudinal Curriculum starting in the PGY-2 year. This will include experiences in Behavioral Health, Pharmacotherapeutics, Clinical Informatics, Panel Management, Quality Improvement, and Patient Safety. The curriculum will be integrated into to a longitudinal outpatient experience in one of Lexington Medical Center’s Primary Care sites.
Post-Graduate Year 1 Rotations
Your first post-graduate year, you’ll build a solid foundation through hands-on experience.
- 16 weeks — Internal Medicine Inpatient Teaching Service
- 13 weeks — Internal Medicine Outpatient Clinic
- 4 weeks — Night Float
- 4 weeks — MICU
- 4 weeks — Subspeciality Internal Medicine Clinic
- 4 weeks — Extended Care
- 4 weeks — Elective
- 3 weeks — PTO
Post-Graduate Year 2 Rotations
Your second post-graduate year will help you move from learner to experienced resident.
- 13 weeks — Internal Medicine Outpatient Clinic

- 4 weeks — Inpatient Cardiology
- 4 weeks — Emergency Medicine
