Post-Graduate Year 1 Rotations
Your first post-graduate year, you’ll build a solid foundation through hands-on experience.
- 16 weeks — Internal Medicine Outpatient Clinic
- 16 weeks — Internal Medicine Inpatient Teaching Service
- 8 weeks — Electives
- 4 weeks — Subspecialty Education Clinic
- 4 weeks — Medical Intensive Care Unit
- 4 weeks — Long-term Care
Longitudinal Curriculum
The Longitudinal curriculum will include Behavioral Health, Pharmacotherapeutics, Clinical informatics, Panel Management, Quality Improvement and Patient Safety. Starting in the PGY 2 year, the Longitudinal curriculum will be assigned to a longitudinal outpatient experience in one of Lexington Medical Center’s Primary Care sites.
Post-Graduate Year 2 Rotations
Your second post-graduate year will help you move from learner to experienced resident.

- 4 weeks — Emergency Medicine
- 4 weeks — Geriatrics
