“It is such an honor to serve our patients and their families, my fellow employees and the community through my work with the Foundation. I am inspired every day by the tireless efforts of so many to ensure that we provide the best care and attention to all. What a blessing it is to be able to serve others every day and work with such loyal and dedicated donors who make it possible for us to fulfill our mission and provide hope.”

“My work in the Foundation places me in a unique position to encounter two of the greatest of common experiences we have as human beings – generosity and gratitude. I am privileged to sit with individuals who choose to seek opportunities to give healing and hope to those they may never meet. I am privileged to sit with those who are helped in turn and to hear the expressions of gratitude and the stories of impact and restoration. Both are changed by the experience of philanthropy. What an honor!”

“I have spent my entire career in nonprofit, starting in the call center at my alma mater and continuing through multiple roles in higher education fundraising where I could pay forward the generosity I received as a student onto the next generation! In 2016, I joined the amazing team at LMC Foundation. Having just lost my father to cancer the year before, I felt blessed to see my work help families walking the same difficult road I had traveled. Every day, I am fulfilled by our mission of hope and feel proud to be part of the compassionate care LMC provides our community.”

“From my childhood completing homework on the oncology floor while my Granny fought breast cancer to the delivery of my own precious son in May of 2019, Lexington Medical Center has housed many of my fondest memories. My work through the Foundation provides me the opportunity to enhance the care and experience for other patients and their families going through some of either the worst or best times of their lives.”

“My fondness for Lexington Medical Center started 21 years ago during the pregnancy of my first child. The care the physicians and nurses bestowed upon me and my little one was above and beyond expectations. Especially when my second child had to spend time in the special care nursery at birth. I have always considered LMC as my hospital, my family. It is such a blessing to work for the Foundation and this wonderful team and be able to share love and compassion to those who need it most, our patients and community.”

“During my first week working in the Foundation, I witnessed firsthand how the kindness and generosity from LMC employees impacted a fellow employee who had just experienced a traumatic loss. This showed me that together we can help others who are experiencing a difficult season in their life and can offer them hope. Working for the Lexington Medical Center Foundation means I get to be part of a caring, compassionate team that is instrumental in helping our LMC employees, patients, and community by offering hope and support.”

“I have always wanted to work with underserved populations. I am fortunate that my position at the hospital, and work with the Foundation, affords me the ability to help our patients and those in the community that need it the most. I know when I come in every day I will be fulfilled, both personally and professionally, through my work.”
